About

Kris is a long time contributor to the GTK+ project. In the beginning with focus on GtkTreeView (which he still loves to hack on and improve), but these days everywhere help is needed such as the icon, text view, tooltips infrastructure and port of GTK+ to the Mac. Kris is a PhD student in Computer Science at Leiden University and likes to put his expertise to work at Lanedo.

Spare time to do list

• Improve unit testing of the various tree models and the tree models itself.
• Review cellarea-style-transition branch
• Refactor gtk_tree_view_build_tree() for specific cases.
• Fix GtkIconView key navigation
• Putting all my unfinished patches online. Put roadmap for GtkTreeView online. This includes:
  • New Drag and Drop implementation and API for GtkTreeView.
  • Proper cancellation/acceptation API for GtkCellEditable.
  • GtkTreeView simple list API
• Make the CoreText backend in Pango properly handle font fallbacks/cascading
• Further maintaining GTK+'s Mac OS X backend (finishing rendering-cleanup migration, fixing clipboard, selection support, further polishing)
• Port The GIMP to 64-bit Mac OS X
