LibreOffice (formerly known as OpenOffice) is the free power-packed Open Source personal productivity suite for Windows, Macintosh and Linux, that gives you six feature-rich applications for all your document production and data processing needs: Writer, Calc, Impress, Draw, Math and Base.
We welcome the truely open development model around LibreOffice and are passionate about contributing to a project we use in our business on a daily basis. Lanedo is happy to participate in building an open, vendor independent ecosystem around LibreOffice and provides development resources and support services to anyone looking to improve their LibreOffice experience.

History
During 2011, Lanedo was asked by the Document Foundation to join the steering committee for the LibreOffice project. We were naturally honored to be asked and happy to be involved in the process at this level.
Lanedo and the Document Foundation have since also publicised a statement of support for LibreOffice.
Case Studies
A number of Lanedo's LibreOffice extensions have been uploaded and accepted by the Document Foundation including:
WebDAV integration
This extension allows the user to open and save documents directly on a WebDAV server.Spreadsheet Population
The extension was developed by Lanedo in order to use LibreOffice charting capabilities with data stored in a SQL database.Mail Merge DB
Mail Merge is a feature of LibreOffice that allows you to write a template letter with predefined fields and then populate that template with fields from a database. This is very useful if you need to send the same letter to a number of people contained in a database with only small changes like the name and address of the person you're sending it to.
Partners
Lanedo partnered with Jacqueline Rahemipour of Natural Computing during 2011 to be able to offer training around LibreOffice. Jacqueline has also authored the book Textverarbeitung mit OpenOffice.org 3 Writer
(Word Processing with OpenOffice.org 3 Writer). If you have any training requirements, Natural Computing are able to provide the services you need and Lanedo can arrange an introduction.
